What is a cash bond?

March 12, 2019 by

When a bond is set at a certain number, and a person (usually a parent or a loved one) presents the entire amount of the bond in cash at the bonding window, it is referred to as a “cash bond.” When a bondsman makes the bond, it is usually referred to as a “surety bond.”
